Northeast New Jersey Legal Services (NNJLS) is a nonprofit organization that provides free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families in the northern part of New Jersey. We have been a trusted community ally with more than 50 years of experience fighting for justice in various civil matters involving Family, Housing, Consumer, Public Benefits, and Immigration issues.

Our organization was established to help ensure that people facing financial hardships can still access legal representation and services, which are often vital for securing basic rights such as housing, employment, and public benefits. We believe that no one should be denied a meaningful opportunity to have their day in court simply because they cannot afford a lawyer.

The Pro Bono Partnerships (PBPP) is a unit within NNJLS that provides the same services to those individuals and families through our volunteers.
