Service Clubs

Many communities have local service clubs that offer community engagement opportunities, such as Rotary Clubs.

  • Rotary Club of Leesburg

The Rotary Club of Leesburg was chartered 95 years ago by a group of people who wanted to find ways to give back to their community by living the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self”. Today, this club continues that legacy by improving the well-being of the Leesburg community while collaborating with other Rotary Clubs to assist global volunteering efforts, from rainwater collection in Cambodia to Rotary International’s Polio Plus program to eradicate polio.

  • Kiwanis Club of Leesburg

Every month the club serves the Loudoun County community. Pediatric support at Inova Loudoun Hospital and Key Clubs are just two of the ways. In addition, we occasionally pop up at various places: at Mobile Hope to wrap Christmas presents or donate snacks at their annual holiday village, on the W&OD Regional Park trail to pick up trash, at JK Community Farm to pick crops for food banks, at National Night Out, and more. We also include some virtual service projects, including the upcoming Trex Recycling.

  • Leesburg Virginia Lions Club

Non profit helping our community with a focus on vision and hearing supports.

  • The Junior League of Northern Virginia

The Junior League of Northern Virginia is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

Mutual Aid & Grassroots Networks

Many communities rely on grassroots and informal networks to meet urgent needs. There may be opportunities to get involved through mutual aid networks, food distribution efforts, neighborhood action teams, or other groups that aren’t often listed on volunteer platforms.

  • Keep Loudoun Beautiful

Keep Loudoun Beautiful is an all-volunteer environmental organization committed to improve the health and beauty of Loudoun County.

Local Organizations

Often prominent organzations rely on their widespread recognition rather than posting on volunteer recruiting websites.

  • Mobile Hope

Mobile Hope provides support and emergency shelter to youth up to age 24 who are at-risk, precariously housed or homeless and empowers them to become self-sufficient and experience improved well-being.
